Liberty Resources is seeking a motivated Mobile Crisis Mental Health Clinician (Licensed Responder) in Onondaga County to join our team. The Mobile Crisis Clinician will work alongside Mobile Crisis Specialists and Peers and is primarily responsible for conducting clinical assessments and providing crisis intervention services. The Licensed Clinician/Licensed Responder will respond to individuals in crisis telephonically or in-person, or via telehealth as needed. Additional follow-up services may be provided depending on the level of need. This is a per diem position with flexible scheduling options. Available shifts are as follows: Cayuga, Cortland or Madison: Weekdays, 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM Weekends and holidays, 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM Onondaga or Oswego: Weekday evenings, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Weekends and holidays, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Overnights, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Weekday daytime coverage as needed Mobile Crisis Clinician/Licensed Responder Job Responsibilities: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine the need for further evaluation. Provide psychotherapy and psychosocial rehabilitation counseling services to remediate psychiatric or substance use symptoms, resolve conflict, deescalate crises, monitor for and address high-risk behaviors, maintain stabilization following a crisis episode, and prevent escalation of behavioral health symptoms. Make treatment recommendations and referrals to other behavioral health services as clinically indicated. Completes timely and accurate documentation in line with agency and program standards. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical and legal standards. Work Environment: Pace and Atmosphere Fast-paced and emotionally dynamic work environment requiring flexibility, composure, quick decision-making, and ability to adapt schedules as needed. Team members work in a highly collaborative environment that emphasizes shared responsibility. Situations may evolve rapidly and involve collaboration with emergency services, families, or multi-agency partners. The position requires a flexible 40-hour schedule, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Worksite Conditions Staff are required to travel to locations not controlled or maintained by the agency, including private homes, shelters, public spaces, or outdoor environments. Locations may include stairs, uneven terrain, limited accessibility, or other physical challenges. Mobile Crisis Clinician/Licensed Responder Qualifications: Licensed or permitted in New York State as one of the following: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Behavioral Analyst, Physician, including Psychiatrist and Addictionologist/Addiction Specialist, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Occupational Therapist who meets the qualifications set forth in 42 C.F.R. 440.110(b)(2). Two (2) years of post-graduate mental health experience, including relevant experience providing crisis intervention support, transitional support, and care coordination. Must demonstrate competence in de-escalation and aggression management. Must be willing to participate in all required federal, state, county and agency training including Narcan administration, evidence-based assessments, person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
