Pre-OP LPN (Full Time)

Job title: LPN

Full Time: 32-40 hours per week, with full benefits

General summary of duties

• Completes pre-operative assessments and starts patient IV
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the efficiency of the operating room schedule

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Hold an active state license.
• One year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• CPR Certification
• Ability to start patient IV
