Requires a minimum of one year of experience in veterinary medicine and fluency in English. Preference is given to candidates currently enrolled in or pursuing a Veterinary Technician program.

Safely restrain patients during examinations, treatments, and procedures Provide nursing support and basic animal husbandry for hospitalized patients Assist with maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation Perform nail trims and suture/staple removals as directed Support emergency clinicians with patient care, diagnostics, and treatments Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment environment Deliver compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and veterinarians to provide high-quality emergency care
Minimum of 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine Currently enrolled in or actively pursuing a Veterinary Technician program preferred Understanding of animal restraint, patient handling, and safety protocols Knowledge of proper sanitation, hygiene, and aseptic techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional growth in veterinary medicine Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital serving pets and families throughout New York's Capital Region.
