Manage a caseload of general and consultative neurosurgery patients across inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings. Responsibilities include diagnosing conditions, initiating treatments, providing surgical first-assist support, and coordinating interdisciplinary care.
Requires completion of an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and Illinois state licensure. ACLS certification is required, while experience in neurosurgery or academic medical centers is preferred.
Join UChicago Medicine as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) within the Neurosurgery team. As a hybrid, inpatient/outpatient/OR Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, you will manage our general neurosurgery and consultative neurosurgery patients and leverage knowledge of critical neurological conditions to care for the adult patient population.

The APP also contributes to family support services, discharge planning, staff education, clinical consultation, quality improvement efforts, and research activities to advance patient outcomes and program excellence.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
