This role reports to the Director of Genetics and performs other duties as assigned.

• Key responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality genetic counseling services in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide clinical guidance to patients and providers, including:
• Syndrome identification
• Medical management recommendations
• Genetic testing coordination and interpretation
• Psychosocial counseling
• Multidisciplinary care planning
• Identify and recommend research opportunities that enhance patient care delivery and outcomes across the organization.
• Participate in educational initiatives for healthcare professionals and community audiences.
• Support program development efforts within the genetics department.
• Achieve assigned performance goals and objectives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION • Required: Master’s degree in Medical Genetics or a related field

EXPERIENCE • Required: Clinical rotations completed as part of an advanced degree program

CERTIFICATIONS / TRAINING • Required: Board Eligible or Board Certified Genetic Counselor through the American Board of Genetic Counseling

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Strong knowledge of

• Healthcare issues related to genetics
• Clinical practice and emerging trends
• Regulatory and legal compliance standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide patient-centered counseling and education

• Licensure
