Active Unrestricted Texas Medical License
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
Active DEA with Texas Address
Emergency Medicine Board Certified Physicians
Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Board Certified Physicians – Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required
Current Emergency Medicine Experience Within the Past 2 Years for FM/IM Candidates
Other Qualifications:
Completion of Residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
Fellowship Preferred
Current TB Test Within 12 Months (Chest X-Ray Required if Positive)
Hepatitis B Immunization
Two MMR Vaccinations or Positive Titers
Two Varicella Vaccinations or Positive Titers
Tdap Vaccination Within the Last 10 Years

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide Emergency Medical Care in a Free-Standing Emergency Department
Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Acute Illnesses and Injuries
Perform Emergency Procedures Within Granted Privileges
Document Patient Encounters in Cerner EMR
Collaborate with Clinical Staff to Maintain Continuous 24-hour Physician Coverage
