Physical Therapy Technician-Inpatient

Overview Shift

• Full-time, days, Monday - Friday, for 80 hours per pay period. There is a holiday and weekend rotation. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Physical Therapy Technician to support our inpatient rehabilitation team. The Physical Therapy Technician assists licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in providing high-quality care to hospitalized patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or other medical conditions. This role helps ensure a safe, efficient, and positive rehabilitation experience while maintaining equipment, preparing treatment areas, and assisting with patient mobility activities. Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions under direct supervision. Prepare patients and treatment areas for therapy interventions. Transport patients safely to and from therapy sessions. Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and mobility activities as directed by licensed staff. Clean, disinfect, and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas. Monitor and report patient responses, concerns, or changes in condition to therapy staff. Maintain adequate supplies and equipment inventory. Document assigned non-clinical activities according to department procedures. Support interdisciplinary teamwork to promote patient recovery and discharge goals. Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Prior Physical Therapy Tech experience preferred, but not required. There will be on-the-job training.
