The RN is responsible for identifying patient needs through assessment and planning appropriate care. They must delegate tasks and evaluate patient responses to ensure expected health outcomes are met.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Alabama or multi-state nursing license. BLS certification is required during orientation, and experience is preferred but new graduates are accepted.
Overview The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School Of Nursing License, Certification and/or registration: Current nursing Alabama or multi-state Licensure. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient population.
