The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and planning, implementing, and adjusting treatment programs. They must maintain accurate records, provide patient education, and supervise support staff and students.
Candidates must be graduates of an AOTA accredited program and hold a current Alabama license. BCLS certification is required upon completion of the provisional employment period.
Overview The Occupational Therapist assumes primary responsibility for evaluation of the patient, planning, implementing, supervising, reevaluating and changing the treatment program. The therapist maintains adequate records and documents the appropriate progress reports and patient education. The therapist supervises support staff and students as assigned.
Education: Graduate of AOTA accredited educational program for Occupational Therapists required.
Must have current Alabama license. Must have BCLS certification upon completion of provisional period of employment.Prefer member of AOTA.
