• About the unit We provide inpatient bedside care for mainly the General Medical Patient Population, which could be patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, pneumonia, cellulitis, kidney failure, hyperglycemia, Diabetic Issues, Ulcers, Confused Elderly, Alcohol Abuse, Acute/Chronic Kidney Injury, Sepsis, Psychiatric Population.

• Scope of work Nurse Tech responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed baths, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
• This job does not require CNA certification due to the extensive amount of orientation/on the job training provided.

Orientation

The Nurse Tech role will require 3-4 weekdays of classroom time with our Nurse Educators.
