Urgent Care – Grand Rapids, MI – NP

Certified Emergency Medicine Specialists and University of Michigan Health-West are seeking a full-time, board certified, Family Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established and comprehensive urgent care team. High caliber, quality focused, innovative providers should apply to join our team to expand and provide care to local communities.

Provider will be performing full spectrum of ambulatory, urgent care services for patients, including acute, chronic, and specialty care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Candidate will also need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

Additional requirements

2-5 years of Emergency or Urgent Care Experience Patient contact hours

120 hours/month. You will be working ten 12 hour shifts per month No call or administrative requirements Every third weekend and one summer and one winter holiday.

Patient demographics

Urgent care sees all age range of patients. Ambulatory patients Outpatient visits/provider 20-60/day. Unpredictable census

We work with EPIC and have templates set up to use. Needs to be proficient at

Simple laceration repairs, slit lamp, foreign body removal (subcutaneous, eye, nose, ear, and vaginal.), POC testing, nurse maid reduction, and simple finger/toe reduction.

Support staff available

Needs to work independently – supervising physician is available by phone call and MA/RN available for immediate NP support. MA/RN – do splint and tray set up. You will need to supervise MA’s and RN’s
