The Nurse Practitioner autonomously and collaboratively manages patient health problems through comprehensive assessments and diagnoses. They develop care plans, utilize prescriptive authority, and provide clinical leadership to enhance nursing practice.
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctoral degree as a nurse practitioner and possess a current RN license. Certification as a nurse practitioner and eligibility for prescription privileges are also required.
Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patient's health problems and serve in various settings as researchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
