$18.00 - $19.00 / hr based on skill set, and experience. Primary
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the veterinary hospital, including exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, offices, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors daily and as needed. Empty trash and biohazard waste containers and replace liners according to hospital protocols. Clean and sanitize cages, kennels, animal holding areas, and equipment. Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, tables, and waiting room furniture. Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and other facility necessities. Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring they remain sanitary and well-stocked. Launder and properly store hospital linens, towels, blankets, and bedding. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized inventory storage area. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures. Properly handle and dispose of medical waste in accordance with hospital policies and regulations. Clean windows, glass surfaces, and entryways to maintain a professional appearance. Report maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to management. Assist veterinary staff with non-medical support tasks as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies throughout the workday. Ability to work around animals in a compassionate and professional manner. Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to follow instructions and maintain established sanitation protocols. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively communicate with others in a fast-paced environment.
