Residential Assistant
- Residential Assistants work as part of a treatment team to facilitate daily living activities in support of clients' recovery journey and work to ensure clients' safety.
- Residential Assistants work to ensure clients' safety and model and promote positive recovery behaviors.
- May provide transportation to appointments or 12-step meetings.

Responsibilities
- Help clients in their journey through recovery. You are a positive role model with a caring attitude and a strong belief that people can change.
- Have a servant's heart and empathetic spirit. You have the ability to see the best in each person and are able to maintain a cool head in tense situations. You can maintain a safe environment that promotes recovery and can use problem-solving skills to maintain professional and respectful boundaries.
- Accompany clients through recovery activities. You will interact with clients in a variety of ways throughout their day - from meals to free time, recreation, pro-social activities, transportation to appointments, and 12-step meetings in company vehicles.
Requirements
- Combination of experience and education normally represented by a High School Diploma or equivalent with one year's experience in chemical dependency treatment program.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, provide copy of driver’s license, and are subject to a Moving Vehicle Report (MVR) check through the Department of Motor Vehicles annually. Any MVR grade of “unacceptable” is not permitted to operate a personal/company vehicle on behalf of Catholic Charities.
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
- Must have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to take direction well and respectfully respond to the needs of others.
- Must have good computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with a team of professional staff desirable.
- Must be flexible and willing to be a team player in assisting program implementation (including shift coverage).

Schedule will be
- Wednesday through
- Sunday - 1:30 am to 9:30 am
- RAs are required to work some holidays.
