- Join our team as a Vascular Technologist! Join Utah Valley Vascular Surgery as a Vascular Technologist and become part of a highly skilled, collaborative team delivering high‑quality vascular diagnostics. We’re seeking candidates with strong critical‑thinking skills, a passion for vascular imaging, and a desire to continue learning in a fast‑paced clinical environment. This role may be filled at the Echo/Vascular Technician I, II, or III level, based on experience and qualifications. Posting Details Location: Utah Valley Vascular Surgery Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours/week 4 ten‑hour shifts | 7:00a–5:30p Day off typically Wednesday or Thursday No scheduled weekends or holidays Call Requirements: Weekend Weeknight call (5:30p–7:00a) Averages 1 week every 5–6 weeks Benefits Eligible: Yes Starting at $39.16+ depending on experience Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $2,500 for eligible applicants Relocation Assistance: Available Qualifications Echo/Vascular Technician I ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography BLS certification Echo/Vascular Technician II ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography BLS certification Competency and participation in designated specialty areas per department standards Two national registry credentials through ARDMS, CCI, or ASN, as applicable to the department
- OR- one and equivalent years of service Minimum experience: ≥10 years of cardiology/healthcare service OR ≥5+ years of cardiology/healthcare service plus an Associate’s degree Echo/Vascular Technician III ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography BLS certification Three national registry credentials or one and equivalent years of service Minimum experience: ≥15 years cardiology/healthcare service OR ≥10 years cardiology/healthcare service + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Advanced competency and participation in specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures as defined by department guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. Essential Functions Perform high‑quality vascular ultrasound exams following department protocols, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety Prioritize and coordinate exams with physicians, clinic staff, and patients to support efficient workflow Prepare patients by verifying identification, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the exam Assess patient condition and communicate findings and needs effectively with providers and care teams Accurately document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment; ensure proper functionality and supply levels Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold department standards Provide mentorship and guidance to students and less experienced caregivers Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency and expand ultrasound skillsets Key Skills Vascular ultrasound proficiency (RVT/RVS preferred or in progress) Strong critical thinking and diagnostic problem‑solving Effective patient communication and education Time management in a fast‑paced clinical environment Willingness to learn and expand ultrasound skillsets Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
