Independently performs and scores diagnostic polysomnographic testing for patients from newborn to 21 years of age. Monitors patient compliance and ensures the technical quality of testing while supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Requires a high school diploma and either 10 years of experience in polysomnography or RPSGT certification. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required within 30 days of employment.

Provides polysomnographic testing to patients from newborn to 21 years of age consistent with accepted standards. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Experience 10 years’ experience in polysomnography or a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
Experience in pediatrics Education High school diploma or equivalent Certification Summary Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment If less than 10 years of experience, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
Strong organizational capabilities and communication skills Enthusiasm and willingness to work with other Job Responsibilities Independently performs diagnostic polysomnographic testing and scoring in accordance with accepted national standards to patients from newborn to 21 years of age, integrating emotional, psychosocial, educational, and growth and development needs of the patient and family. Monitors and appropriately addresses the comprehension, understanding, and compliance of the patient and family with regard to treatment and testing. Identifies and corrects issues with testing technical quality. May assist with orientation of new staff and participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
