Perform daily respiratory care procedures including medication administration, mechanical ventilation, and arterial blood gas analysis. Provide critical support in emergency situations, including intubation and CPR.
Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed in the state of Kentucky. Basic Life Support certification is required, with critical care and emergency room experience preferred.
BHMG Pulmonary and Critical Care: Job Summary: Responsible to perform daily Respiratory Care procedures as assigned, which include but are not limited to: IPPB, medication administration via aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, mechanical ventilation, CPR, pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases. Able to perform in all emergency situations and provide intubation if applicable. Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required: Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Must be licensed by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Kentucky and in accordance with the provisions of KRS chapter 314A. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate. Critical Care and emergency Room experience preferred. Incumbents not meeting these specifications have been grandfathered based on qualification in effect prior to the date on page one of this document.
