Responsible for administering ionizing radiation to perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Duties include preparing patients, administering medications, and analyzing imaging data under the direction of a licensed practitioner.
Requires graduation from a Radiologic Technology specialty training program and certification by the ARRT or NMTCB upon hire. Basic Life Support certification is required, and a bachelor's degree or one year of experience is preferred.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) OR Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) need upon hire. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry or NMTCB prior to first day of employment. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2, including advanced certification, within 24 months of hire.
