Inpatient | Staff/Senior Physical Therapist | 50%25 Line

• Inpatient Senior Physical Therapist The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. You will function as a clinical resource providing mentorship in the unit. Inpatient Staff Physical Therapist The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries and or evaluate and interpret findings. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care ICU setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. • On Campus: This position is performed fully on the campus of the University Medical Center.
• This position is: Part-time, 50%25.
• Work Schedule: Assigned schedule/hours would be one weekend a month (Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour days) and every Thursday and Friday, 8-hour days. This is also a float position. Coverage would be assigned by manager based on departmental needs.

Qualifications

• | Senior Physical Therapist Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
• 2+ years of experience in Physical Therapy is necessary, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
• Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Desirable Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• 3+ years of experience in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
• Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team. Qualifications | Staff Physical Therapist Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
• Entry level experience in Physical Therapy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Desirable Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
• 1-3 years of experience in critical care/ICU Coverage.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
