About the role

The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and supporting patient mobility within the maternity and obstetric department.

  • 7a-7:30p with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, 36 hours/week Join a dynamic and compassionate team at our Level III Maternity Center and Obstetric Emergency Department, where we provide comprehensive care for women throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of pregnancy. Our unit is dedicated to supporting the maternal-infant dyad, fostering strong biological, psychological, and social bonds that promote holistic health and well-being. We specialize in managing complex obstetric cases and emergencies with a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring safe and personalized care for every patient. Our team collaborates closely with our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide seamless support for newborns requiring advanced care, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in maternal and neonatal outcomes. Responsibilities

PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

License(s)/Certification(s): CNA certification required Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current CNA certification and possess or obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire. The role requires the physical ability to lift and move patients as part of a medium-work environment.
