The RN provides high-acuity care in a fast-paced emergency department, focusing on rapid patient assessment and stabilization. Responsibilities include implementing care plans, administering treatments, and coordinating life-saving interventions.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program with a current Virginia RN license and 1-2 years of acute or emergency care experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Leigh Hospital delivers fast-paced, high-acuity care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent medical needs. Working in a collaborative, award-winning environment, the ED RN utilizes rapid assessment and critical thinking to stabilize patients, assist providers, and champion patient safety.
