The Patient Care Technician maintains a safe and clean environment in patient rooms and service areas. They assist licensed personnel with basic patient needs and the monitoring of health and vital signs.
Candidates must be high school graduates with a current AHA BLS certification and either relevant experience, a completed PCT course, or one clinical semester of an LPN/RN program. A CNA license or PCT certification is preferred.
The Patient Care Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintains a safe, clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assists licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs.
