Coordinate elective surgical procedures and ensure patients are scheduled within clinically appropriate timeframes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patients pre-operatively and deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care.
Requires current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical nursing environment. Proficiency in electronic booking tools and strong communication skills are essential.
Mater Hospital Springfield has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Planned care team in a permanent full-time role 38 hours per week (hours negotiable) working as an elective surgery theatre/procedural scheduler.
The Planned Care team offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that is evidence based.
This role will work closely with the treating teams to ensure patients referred for elective procedures are scheduled within clinically appropriate timeframes whilst ensuring patients are optimally prepared for surgery prior to their theatre date.
