Prepare patients and perform routine ultrasound procedures according to provider orders and protocols. Produce high-quality images and present them to the Radiologist for interpretation while maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Requires completion of an accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification at the time of hire. AHA BLS Provider certification is mandatory, and three years of relevant experience is preferred.
Completion of accredited program in ultrasound or MWHC/MIF cross-training program, or twelve months relevant experience required. AHA BLS Provider required. ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire. If not ARDMS (OB/GYN) registered at time of hire, registry required within twelve months of hire with the first attempt to pass the OB/GYN registry within six months of hire. Registry in Abdomen (AB), Vascular (VT), and Pediatric Sonography (PS) preferred. ARRT (R) registered in Radiologic Technology preferred. Three years relevant experience preferred. Experience with applicable EMR, Radiology, and information systems preferred. Required Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, sitting; occasional (0-33% of workday) bending and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination Mental Requirements: Possesses critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Capacity to cope with difficult situations. Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends. Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals. Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
