The role focuses on preparing medication orders and performing sterile and non-sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include managing inventory, maintaining regulatory cleanliness, and using automated systems for patient records.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a registered and certified pharmacy technician. Previous experience in sterile compounding or home infusion is strongly preferred, with a preferred experience range of 2-5 years.

Role Purpose The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, prepares medication orders, and assists in dispensing & transporting medications. This position also conducts sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, uses various automated/electronic systems and maintains the required documentation & records.
Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance. Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding. Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance. Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness. Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
