Job Summary
Completes daily diagnostic imaging studies within the modalities of CT, Digital Radiography, and C-Arm to produce high quality images for diagnostic purposes.
This is a part-time position, 12-hour shifts/ Reports To: Manager, Diagnostic Imaging |Director, Outpatient Services
Hourly Range
$32.00 - $53.55 per hour (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)
Essential Job Functions
- Obtains patient history and allergies, informs patients of study, safety, contrast media contraindications.
- Maintains a safe environment for the patient, staff, and visitors in and around radiology department including the MRI Suite.
- Provides patient instructions related to exam including breathing, communication, observation and length of study, along with post study instructions.
- Enters required patient information accurately into the EHR; scans patients in accordance with specified appropriate protocol.
- Produces imaging in accordance with optimum standards for radiologist interpretation. Including appropriate imaging recons. Completes notes on each patient in PACS.
- Performs assigned responsibilities as epidural pain management technologist during procedures.
- Performs assigned responsibilities as C-arm fluoro in OR and procedure technologist as necessary for imaging procedures.
- Participates in taking call rotation and Holiday rotation when needed.
- Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care, personnel and strategic issues.

Minimum Requirements
Education
Graduation from an ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology with CT certification.
Certification, Licensure
Current CPR certification; registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (R) (CT)
Experience, Training, Knowledge
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as technologist in a surgical or hospital setting with a strong working knowledge of Radiography and CT. C-Arm experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50) pounds while administering care to patients, etc.
- Stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching daily in delivery of patient care, obtaining equipment, etc.
- Standing and walking more than five (5) hours per day in administering patient care in multiple rooms.
- Running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies.
- Reaching, grasping, handling, and/or feeling five (5) or more hours per day in administering patient care, i.e. operating various radiologic equipment.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.

- ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS – Aligns with CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel
- Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
- Influenza- documentation of current seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year)
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
- Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
- Tuberculosis Screening - Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 months
- Vaccine records or evidence of immunity are required prior to 1st day of scheduled work
