Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.

Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.

Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

Education an approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or an approved Sonography Program by the ARRT. Required or Work Experience No experience required Required 1 year of experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications ARDMS/ARRT(s) registry eligible Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and (BR) ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS) Business

Requirements

Requires graduation from a CAAHEP or ARRT approved sonography program and BCLS certification. Candidates must be ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible, with a preference for 1 year of experience and Breast Sonography certification.
