Hourly1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Fayetteville, NY (EL-AW) A 41-year-old female in the Fayetteville area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with developing personal goals, pursuing a healthy diet/ exercising, and determining preferences. She enjoys going to the library, shopping, has a walking routine, is interested in volunteering, and wants to make more friends. She likes bright colors, stuffed animals, and peaceful activities. This person lives in a certified residence, so services will always take place outside of the home in the community. The ideal candidate is open-minded and willing to listen. The ideal candidate must be consistent with specified days and times to the best of their ability, as this person struggles mentally if staff is inconsistent. The ideal candidate must be physically capable of walking long distances alongside this person. The ideal candidate is patient and understanding, as this person may have challenging behaviors at times or may lash out verbally. The ideal candidate is motivating and encouraging. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Hours and days of work:
Tuesdays and
Thursdays 9:30am-2:30pm
Starting pay: $20.50/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
