The Ophthalmic Scribe supports physicians by performing diagnostic ocular testing and documenting patient encounters in real time. They are responsible for preparing exam rooms, managing patient flow, and communicating physician instructions to patients.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience as an ophthalmic scribe and proficiency with EHR software and medical coding. Knowledge of ocular anatomy and ophthalmic terminology is required, while certification is preferred.

The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for collecting and recording ocular and systemic patient histories, visual acuities, BP, IOP, Auto refractions, Manifest Refractions, performing external examinations, and dry-eye testing, as well as disease specific extra testing. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Minimal of one year in Ophthalmology Certification preferred by not required Skills and Abilities Superior interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to perform manifest refraction is required Ability to perform Goldmann tonometry is required. Ability to effectively multitask Attentive to detail and accuracy.
