Perform adult echocardiographic ultrasound exams and capture high-quality images to support heart structure and function evaluation. Communicate findings to providers and maintain equipment to ensure efficient department workflow.
Must be a graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program. Requires certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Perform adult echocardiographic ultrasound exams following established policies and procedures Capture, review, and document high-quality images to support diagnosis and treatment Use clinical judgment to recognize normal and abnormal findings during exams Communicate relevant information to providers and interpreting physicians Prepare preliminary reports and support timely follow-up when needed Help ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each procedure Maintain equipment, identify concerns, and assist with basic troubleshooting Support quality improvement, accreditation, and department workflow needs Complete related documentation, scheduling, and billing support tasks accurately
Education: Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program. License(s)/Certification(s): Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
