The Specialty Radiologic Technologist creates high-quality diagnostic images across multiple ambulatory settings, supporting surgical cases and fluoroscopy studies. They are responsible for maintaining patient care standards, managing patient records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety.

Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology department at our Maplewood Clinic and Specialty Center in Maplewood, MN!

This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm with a holiday rotation.

The Specialty Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in multiple ambulatory settings and locations.

Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

The specialty radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general x-ray performed the ambulatory setting.

Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.

Responsibilities

Maintains patient care standards Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures Identifies relevant data from images accurately. Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals Verify patient identification and documentation Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of service Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol. Ensures patient data integrity Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program ARRT Certification/Registration Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications

B.S./B.A. 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting Advanced Imaging modality certification

Requirements

Candidates must complete an accredited radiologic technology program, hold ARRT certification, and possess Basic Life Support certification. A bachelor's degree and three years of hospital experience are preferred.
