Job Responsibilities As a Residential DSP, you'll be part of a dedicated team creating a safe, stable, and supportive home environment. What You'll Do Maintain a safe and supportive environment throughout the night while individuals are sleeping Complete overnight checks and respond as needed to ensure health, safety, and comfort Provide individualized supports when needed, respecting dignity, choice, and independence Complete household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the day ahead Accurately complete timely, detailed documentation and overnight reports Support any needs that may arise overnight in a respectful, age-appropriate way Help create a welcoming, organized home that reflects the preferences and needs of the people who live there DDRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). What You Bring to Either Role To excel as a Direct Support Professional at DDRC, a variety of essential skills and qualifications are necessary. A high school diploma or GED is required. Strong preference for candidates possessing at least one year of paid work or related volunteer experience, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities. Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting others are vital. Current driver's license along with a motor vehicle record that meets DDRC Policy. Willingness to drive a large van and a variety of vehicles. Basic computer skills will aid in necessary documentation. Most importantly, a willingness to learn, a problem-solving mindset, and a compassionate spirit are essential traits that will empower you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
