Provide essential resident services including personal care, medication assistance, and support for social and recreational activities. Monitor tenant health status and maintain a clean, safe environment while adhering to dignity and privacy standards.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of experience working with the elderly. A Medication Manager Certification is required for the role.
In general we offer 8 hour shifts for our Care Partner positions. We have openings for PRN positions.
Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice and individuality of tenants. Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the tenant and an understanding of the aging process. Reviews Tenant Service Plans as needed to gain and maintain a familiarity with tenant service needs and preferences. Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions. Provides personal services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Tenant Service Plans. Responds to calls from the emergency call system in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures. Assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed. Assists with individual tenant and group social/recreational activities as requested; encourages tenant participation in activities. Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures. Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received. Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting. Performs all other duties as assigned. A Care Partner is not allowed to perform medication administration without a Assisted Living Medication Manager Certification of completion. QualificationsQualifications: Must have 1-2 years’ previous experience working with the elderly, preferably in a residential setting. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent GED. Also prefer experience in providing assistance with activities of daily living. Medication Manager Certification required.
