The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and technicians by preparing patients for exams and assisting with diagnostic tests and surgical procedures. They are also responsible for documenting medical histories, educating pet owners, and maintaining medical equipment.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant, including proficiency in blood collection and IV catheter placement. Strong communication skills and familiarity with anesthesia monitoring are also required.
