Provide person-centered and trauma-informed recovery services to individuals with psychiatric needs in a hospital setting. Lead group-based treatments in forensic spaces and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans.
Requires at least two years of professional experience in social work or rehabilitation counseling, or an equivalent bachelor's degree. Candidates must demonstrate skill in working with psychiatrically disabled clients and the ability to lead therapeutic groups.
Tewksbury Hospital operated by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking a dynamic rehabilitation counselor to provide person centered and trauma informed Recovery and Rehabilitation Services to individuals of the Northeast Area who have psychiatric needs. The selected candidate will provide quality Rehabilitation Services in accordance with The Rehab Department Tewksbury Hospital, DMH and The Joint Commission standards (TJC).
Ability to demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward individuals with variety of mental health needs and substance use disorder. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail. Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
