Minimum Training and Education: 0-1 year year experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible required. If not certified, must obtain certification within the first year of employment. Basic Life Support required upon hire. Thereafter, must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
