Overview Monitors heart rhythm patterns of patients throughout the hospital setting, to detect abnormal pattern variances.
Prepares and compiles medical records and processes patient orders.

Essential Functions
Observes all assigned monitors and accurately interprets rhythms. - Reports all changes in rhythm to RN assigned to patient. - Follows unit policy and procedure for accurately recording and documenting patient rhythm. - Immediately alerts RN of a lethal arrhythmia. - Records ongoing rhythm strips during emergency situations involving assigned patients. - Provides complete shift report. - Provides report to RN assigned to patient. Â
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent - Completion of a CNA program required - Successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation.
