Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including assisting with activities of daily living and performing clinical tasks like EKGs and vital signs. Support unit operations by monitoring patients, documenting care, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requires a high school diploma and either one year of patient care experience, a health sciences degree, or completion of specific healthcare training. BLS/CPR certification and criminal clearance are required.
Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including assisting with ADLs, procedures, and therapies Perform core PCT responsibilities, including vital signs, point-of-care testing, telemetry application, specimen collection, bladder scans, EKGs, and basic dressings Assist with unit and patient needs (e.g., responding to call lights, meal delivery, patient transport, and monitoring) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment while following infection control and safety protocols Monitor patients and report changes in condition or equipment issues promptly Document care accurately and complete clerical tasks as needed Support unit operations by stocking supplies and assisting with department activities Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support coordinated care Demonstrate professionalism by building positive relationships, supporting team initiatives, and seeking opportunities for growth and development Respond to emergent situations and provide patient supervision or assistance as appropriate Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
