Perform comprehensive sleep testing, analysis, and associated interventions to achieve optimal efficiency in sleep disorder diagnostics. Provide supervision for Polysomnographic Trainees and collaborate with the Medical Director and leadership.
Requires a high school diploma and either an associate degree in allied health, six months of sleep trainee experience, or a CPSGT credential. Candidates must obtain a professional certification such as RPSGT, SDS, or RST within 24 months of hire.
The Polysomnographic Technologist works collectively with the Medical Director, Leadership, staff and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success in sleep disorder testing and scoring. Performs comprehensive sleep testing / analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Leader, Medical Director, or designee. Provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.
Education: An associate’s degree in an allied healthcare field (respiratory care or neuro-diagnostics). Other skills/knowledge: Analytical skills necessary to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative statistical data and conduct diagnostic procedures.
