Perform psychiatric diagnostic assessments and follow-ups for adult patients within an evidence-based framework. Provide medical supervision to APRNs and offer consultation to clinical staff to optimize client care.
Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist with a Georgia State Medical License and DEA registration. Experience in Addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is preferred.
Full time on-site opportunity in outpatient behavioral health setting. Primary location will be our Winn Way clinic; however, this role may provide services and support across all OP clinics in DeKalb County.
The selected Psychiatrist will join an excellent team of clinical and medical staff. As an important member of this multi-disciplinary team, completes psychiatric diagnostic assessments and follow ups and makes recommendations for treatment within an evidence-based framework. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment in assessment, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisions. Provides consultation regarding client care to clinical staff. Actively contributes to the treatment center and organization through on-going collaborative efforts. This position serves Adults only. The provider may provide services for all outpatient clinics as needed but can identify the Winn Way Clinic as the primary site. May serve clients who are part of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program. Provides administrative support to agency in medical matters in the absence of the Medical Director. May serve as the delegating or designated physician and provide medical supervision to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Georgia Composite Medical Board and applicable Georgia Board of Nursing guidelines. Minimum Training & Experience: Adult Psychiatrist. GA State Medical License and DEA. Currently Board Certified or Board Eligible. Addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) experience preferred.

May be required to travel between clinics.
