The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, and coordinating patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role focuses on surgical patients, specifically within orthopedics, urology, and bariatric care.
Requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a valid Pennsylvania RN license, with a BSN preferred. CPR certification is required, and previous specialty nursing experience is preferred.
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients through the use of the nursing process: assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
