The Surgical Technician is responsible for preparing sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures. They assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
A high school diploma is required, and a Surgical Technologist certification is preferred. Candidates must have prior experience as a Surgical Technician and hold or obtain a BLS certification within 90 days.

Prior experience as an Surgical Technician is required.
Prior experience as an Orthopedics OR Surgical Technician is preferred
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Normal and emergent clinical environment. Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, blood and body fluids, infectious disease and to chemical or electrical hazards.
Good visual acuity, accurate color vision. Ability to transfer patients in excess of 100 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel fine sensation to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape. Ability to speak and hear.
