Provide specialized nursing care for patients with medical and cardiac diagnoses, including those undergoing peripheral vascular interventions and cardiac catheterization. Responsibilities include documenting patient assessments, implementing provider orders, and supervising support staff to ensure quality outcomes.
Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and a current Kentucky RN license or work permit. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke, and others, which may be obtained post-hire.
Complete and document patient assessments, care plans, and changes in condition. Provide, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, education, and discharge planning. Perform clinical procedures, implement provider orders, and respond to emergency situations. Utilize critical thinking, effective communication, and sound judgment to promote patient safety and quality outcomes. Delegate tasks, support staff, facilitate patient flow, and provide leadership within the care team. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor while promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development. Maintain accurate documentation, complete required training, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program and current Kentucky RN license or work permit required. No experience required; Bachelor's Degree and patient care experience preferred. BLS, ACLS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, Glucometer Training, 12 Lead Training, Aegis/DY, and Nurse Wound Care certifications required; certifications may be obtained within established post-hire timeframes.
