Requires an active, unrestricted NP (FNP, PMHNP) or PA-C license in Colorado and an active DEA registration. Preference is given to candidates with over one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health.
Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of substance use treatment centers with 18 locations across seven states. We provide evidence-based addiction treatment across the full continuum of care, including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. We are currently hiring Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Denver, CO.
We are seeking an NP or PA to provide medical care, medication management, and clinical oversight in a detox and residential substance use disorder treatment setting. This role emphasizes patient stabilization, interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance, allowing clinicians to practice thoughtfully in a structured, supportive environment.
· Conduct medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans · Provide medical monitoring and medication management in detox and residential care · Stabilize patients with substance use disorders to support engagement in treatment · Order and review medications, labs, and urine drug screens (UDS) · Document all medical care in the electronic medical record (EMR) · Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams · Ensure compliance with state regulations, JCAHO, CARF, and ASAM standards · Manage daily and weekly patient schedules efficiently
· Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in Colorado · Active DEA registration · Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health (1+ year preferred) · Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills · Excellent written and verbal communication · Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
