The Treatment Nurse is responsible for performing wound assessments, dressing changes, and specialized skin treatments for residents. They collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to monitor healing progress and educate staff on prevention protocols.

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Treatment Nurse (LVN or RN) to join our care team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality wound care and treatment services while working closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes. Success in this role requires clinical expertise, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.

Your impact as a treatment nurse

In this role, you will

  • Perform dressing changes, wound assessments, and specialized skin treatments
  • Monitor and document healing progress of wounds, incisions, and skin concerns
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and families regarding care plans
  • Evaluate residents’ nutritional and hydration needs related to wound healing
  • Review lab results and respond to signs of infection
  • Educate staff on wound prevention and treatment protocols
  • Assist with floor staffing as needed to ensure continuity of care
  • Prepare and over-see daily schedule for nursing department.
  • Ensure proper coverage for all nursing assignments, documenting call ins and finding their replacement.
  • Assist in orientating new CNA's and complete new hire/annual proficiencies.
