Responsible for completing medical forms, QA reports, and charting while ensuring accuracy in physician orders and regulatory compliance. The role involves reviewing interdisciplinary progress notes and communicating pertinent resident information to caregiver staff.
Requires a current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse License and CPR Certification. Candidates should have two years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Rehab, or Geriatric Nursing, though new graduates are also considered.
Completes medical forms, QA reports, evaluations, charting, 24-hour report for DON, forms for admission, transfer, and/or discharge, and accident/incident reports to be submitted to the Caregiver Manager, etc., as necessary and documents pertinent information in resident care notes/log and/or communicates to caregiver staff. Reviews monthly kardexes for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of physician orders, and adherence to stop order policies. Reviews the caregiver's interdisciplinary progress notes regularly to assure that they are informative and descriptive of the care provided, reflective of the resident’s response to care, that such care is provided by the resident’s wishes, and that all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical, Rehab, or Geriatric Nursing or New Graduate. Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse License. Current CPR Certification. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
