How you’ll contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role

Assists medical staff in carrying out plans for care of patients.

Determine nursing care needs of the patient. Triage patient calls and communicates with provider the patient needs.

Coordinates special activities with hospitals, i.e. direct admissions from the office or any other unique requirements.

Administer medications and vaccines.

Collect specimens and process either at office or by sending them to lab.

Handles telephone inquiries. Assists physicians and mid-level providers in completing prescription renewals electronically. Documents in electronic medical record patient vitals, updates med lists, assists in completing electronic flow sheets and documents electronically all treatments, injections, etc. Transcribes lab and other medical data to charts, as needed.

Performs special tests, i.e. audiometry, eye tests, EKG’s.

Inventory and order medical supplies, as needed.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current state LPN license and graduate of an of a program for licensed practical nurses. Additional requirements include:

Electronic medical record experience either in acute care or medical office practice. Experience as LPN in acute care setting or medical office practice. Preferred

BCLS within 30 days of hire

Requirements

Applicants must hold a current state LPN license and have graduated from an approved LPN program. Experience with electronic medical records and a BCLS certification within 30 days of hire are required or preferred.
