Provide technical and clinical support for invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, including catheterizations and angioplasty. Operate advanced imaging equipment while ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety standards and patient care protocols.
Requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and a New York State license. Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required, with preference for experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
Cardiac Catheterization Lab, UHS Wilson Medical Center Primary Work Shift: Day Rotational Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience ----- Essential Functions: Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Provides technical support for all Cath Lab procedures to include: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions. Responsible for technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, of procedures including: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions. Operates required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures. Ensures proper safety standards are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to. Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary. Performs quality assurance checks on equipment. Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures. Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems. Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of all Cath Lab procedures Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings. Will perform other duties as assigned Education/Experience Minimum Required: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology Two (2) years of experience in full services hospital as a Radiologic Technologist.
