Position overview

UHS is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. This full-time, day-shift position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities, including a 30-minute response time when on call. This role is ideal for a technologist who values collaboration, precision, and the opportunity to contribute to life-saving cardiac care in a dynamic clinical setting.

The Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in supporting invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures by operating advanced imaging equipment and providing both sterile and non-sterile technical assistance. Working hand in hand with registered nurses and physicians, the technologist helps ensure procedures are performed safely, efficiently, and with the highest standard of patient care.

Essential Functions

Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Provides technical support for all

Cath

Lab procedures to include: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.

Responsible for technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, of procedures including: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.

Operates required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures.

Requirements

Requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and a New York State license. Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is required, with preference for experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
