Description

• The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff.
• Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task.
• Estimated pay range for this position is $20.02 - $26.03 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
• Licenses &
• Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician. NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification. PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.
• Additional
• Qualifications: 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience (or equivalent setting. ). Sterile products preparation experience or medication history experience or specialty area experience (i. e. Pediatrics) PTCB or ICPT Certification required.
