CT/X-Ray Technician, Nights (Full-Time)

Description

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanner, power injector, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• The technologist orients the patient and family to the scan procedure and physically prepares and processes the patient through the study.
• The technologist prepares and assesses image quality and presents completed images to the Radiologist.
• This position does require you to be on call.
• Key Accountabilities Performs CT procedures to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease; lifts and positions patients, operates equipment, and administers contrast media.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area; cleans CT and ancillary equipment.
• Demonstrates familiarity with facility and department infection control and safety policies.
• Monitors patient condition during procedure and notifies physician of abnormalities; assists with first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Maintains confidentiality of patients, department and hospital.
• Must be able to perform general X-Ray.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of an AMA approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the ARRT. Must be licensed by the State. Current CPR certificate.
